Compliance & Standards

Risk is assessed before the deal, not after it

Mazolin Energy operates in strict compliance with international regulations and UAE laws governing the trade of energy products, including the UAE AML/CFT framework and applicable international sanctions regimes.

Know Your Counterparty

Trade licence, ownership structure, UBO identification and banking references are collected and reviewed before onboarding. Records are retained and periodically refreshed.

Sanctions screening

Counterparties, vessels, banks and cargo origin are screened against EU, UK (OFSI), US (OFAC) and UN lists. Any positive or ambiguous match stops the transaction pending review.

AML & payment controls

Payments are made and received only through the contracted bank accounts of the contracting parties. Third-party payments, cash settlement and unexplained routing are not accepted.

Quality & responsible conduct

Cargo quality is confirmed by independent inspectors in line with ASTM and ISO test methods. We work with operators that observe MARPOL requirements and recognised HSE practice.

Business conduct

What we will not do

  • Trade cargoes of sanctioned or undisclosed origin.
  • Deal with counterparties that decline to provide KYC documentation.
  • Accept or make payments outside the contractual banking channel.
  • Offer, promise or accept any improper payment or facilitation payment.
  • Engage in transactions that cannot be fully documented and audited.

Compliance questions, due diligence requests and counterparty documentation packages can be addressed to trading@mazolin.com. We respond to bank and counterparty enquiries in writing.
